Scope of these Terms
These Terms cover InSitue Cloud (the SaaS autopilot — captures → tickets → draft PRs). The local dev tool is the @insitue/sdk, @insitue/companion, and @insitue/claude-plugin packages — all MIT-licensed on npm. Use of those is governed by the MIT license in each package, not these Terms.
What InSitue does
InSitue proposes code changes in response to in-app bug reports captured from your users. Safe tier is draft-only — you are responsible for reviewing and merging every PR. The autopilot never pushes to your default branch on Safe tier and never auto-deploys.
No auto-merge
InSitue never merges code to your default branch on your behalf. Every fix opens as a pull request you review and merge yourself — that's the primary safeguard against runaway usage and agent mistakes. Tier setting (Safe vs Standard) only changes whether the PR opens as draft or ready-for-review; the merge is always yours. The global kill switch halts all processing instantly.
No warranty on AI-generated code
AI-generated code is provided “as is”. Manual review by default is a safeguard, not a warranty. You retain ownership and responsibility for all code merged into your repos.
Acceptable use
Don't use InSitue to capture data from end-users without their knowledge or against your own privacy policy. Don't use it on repos you don't own or aren't authorised to modify.
