Common gotchas

Six things that catch most teams.

"Missing NEXT_PUBLIC_…" in the proposed diff

Connect Vercel on the project page. We pull your production env vars into the sandbox at install + run time, so the agent resolves env-aware code correctly.

Run routes to needs_human

Either resolution confidence was below threshold (selector-only, ambiguous match) or the agent couldn't produce a high-confidence fix. Both surface the reason on the run detail page; runs that route to needs_human aren't billed.

Capture chip shows a single character

The element you picked is a minified anonymous fiber (typically a Framer Motion wrapper). The bundle still resolves to the right file:line; only the chip label is cosmetic. Fix: <motion.div displayName="…"> on the wrapper.

Customer uninstalled the Vercel integration

The link drops automatically. The project's Connect Vercel button reappears; no data is lost. The agent falls back to resolving without prod env vars until the link is restored.

PR sits in 'draft' — when does it land?

Draft is what Safe tier opens by default — manual merge required. Flip the project to Standard tier in settings if you want InSitue to open ready-for-review PRs that trigger CI + a Vercel preview deploy. Either way, the human merge is always the feature — InSitue never auto-merges to your default branch.

Spend cap hit and project paused

Open the project page, raise the cap one click, and unpause. Captures arriving while paused route to paused without consuming quota — they'll process when you unpause.

Before you write

If a specific run failed, its Run detail page in the dashboard has the agent transcript and the proposed diff. Paste the run URL in your email and we can reply faster.
